With CBD oil hitting the headlines and more countries legalising cannabis for medicinal purposes it may not be long until we see CBD oil turning up in skincare. With this in mind we thought we would reignite our love of the original oil produced from Cannabis Sativa – the wonderful Hemp Seed Oil.
The beautiful green earthy oil is produced by cold pressing the seeds from the hemp plant. It is packed full of essential fatty acids omega 3 and omega 6 which help to maintain skin health and vitality. Hemp seed oil is an excellent moisturiser for all skin types including oily skins because of its light weight texture and quick ability to absorb into the skin. It is naturally high in vitamin E which can help in our fight against pesky free radicals by protecting against cellular damage.
All this from a tiny seed!
Lets not forget as well as producing this amazing seed the fibres from the hemp plant are also used to create so many wonderful products including clothes, shoes, paper and rope!
